What a Night!!!

A big THANKYOU from the committee to all who attended the 20 year reunion and made it such a memorable night for all involved. It was pleasing to see so many old faces and have the chance to renew old friendships. To say the least, it was a resounding success that exceeded all expectations. So many highlights which are too numerous to mention at this early stage but will be detailed in upcoming weeks so stay tuned...

The positive feedback we've had so far sums up how enjoyable a night it was for all. I'm sure many people, like myself, haven't been able to wipe the smile of their face all week :) Only problem being the extra few days it took to get over the hangover than times past. Hopefully it won't take too long to patch up the relationship with the neighbours as a result of the after party as well. Fortunately the cleaners came this week but have since pulled the pin after getting more than they bargained for... anyone got a reference for a good cleaner? Woke up to a nasty headache, glass fragments throughout the carpet, sticky floorboards and a strange stain on the wall. Takes me back to old school day parties!!!

In regards to photos, we've had several requests for access to pics taken on the night. To everyone that took happy snaps, a group email will be sent out shortly detailing who, how and where to send them... stay tuned. Unfortunately it'll take a little time to collect, collate and post them so please be patient. As an interim measure, I've uploaded the group photo to keep you occupied (click on the pic below to enlarge).

You know it's been 20 years when... some of us take SUPPLEMENTS now we would never have been able to SPELL in the past, let alone know what they were for; glucosamine, chondritan, magnesium (wasn't that on some chart in science???)

You know it's been 20 years when... the 11 year-old daughter comes in with "Dolly" or "Girlfriend" magazine (and no, not much has changed, just the age stuff happens!!) looking longingly at fashions which make us almost gag!!

You know it's been 20 years when... summer 2006=summer1986. Spots, stripes, big plastic bangles, pastles, dangly plastic earings. Winter...Houndstooth, bad SUPRE tartan & checks! maybe we should have kept them, would have saved us some cash!!

You know it really HAS been 20 years when... your 8 year old daughter says "Mum, in YOUR DAY people were REALLY ugly & had really BAD hair!!"

You know it's been 20 years when... it's YOU prising open the wooden venetians to see who's motor is running outside or making all the noise!!

You know it's been 20 years when... botox/boob jobs were derigeur in Hollywood, not for the chick behind the counter @ Maccas or Supre!!

You know it's been 20 years when... wiping out he fridge or spring cleaning brings a CERTAIN sense of ACHIEVEMENT!

You know it's been 20 years when... we try hard to AVOID sex, not wondering HOW to get it!!
